Laboratory Rules

The work on expertise and assessment is carried out for both individuals and legal entities.
The result of the examination in the Gem Expert Ural laboratory is issued in the form of an expert opinion on the diagnosis and evaluation of jewelry and jewelry stones. Each expert opinion has an individual number, which can be found on the website in the document search by number line.
Jewelry is accepted for examination only in its pure form.
The examination is carried out exclusively on the territory of the laboratory and with the direct provision of the object under study (photo examination is not performed).
The Gem Expert Ural Laboratory does not carry out examination and evaluation of pearls, bones, meteorites and nuggets, uncut mineral samples and raw materials.
The characteristics of a diamond weighing more than 0.30 carats in a fixed form are assigned no higher than 3 (F) in color and 3-4 (VVS2) in purity, but can be clarified after loosening.
The estimated weight of the stones fixed in jewelry may differ by up to 15% from the actual weight.

In accordance with SRT 52818945-1-2016 "Rules for disclosure of information about jewelry inserts", developed by the Guild of Jewelers of Russia, inserts in jewelry are described as natural by default. If the synthetic origin of the inserts is revealed, this fact is reflected in the expert opinion.
The laboratory is an independent organization and does not participate in transactions for the purchase and sale of jewelry or faceted stones.
The estimated estimated cost of the product is indicated as a consultation and is not mandatory for use, is not the basis for transactions, reflects only the opinion of an expert based on the analysis of average market prices.
At the request of the client, the retail price (with a trade mark-up) may be indicated in the expert opinion. Wholesale (without surcharge) cost or purchase cost (cost), which will be displayed in the name of the estimated cost.
Precious stones can be modified or improved as a result of the application of refining methods at any time, both before and after the examination, therefore, the characteristics indicated in the conclusion are valid at the time of the examination and the execution of the expert opinion.
The conclusion on the processing and refinement of jewelry stones is the opinion of an expert based on a comparison of samples and an analysis of published literature. The expert monitors the updating of knowledge about stone processing methods.
Verification of the authenticity of assay stamps is carried out by the territorial state inspections of assay supervision and is not the responsibility of an expert. The expert may report his suspicions about the authenticity of the HYPN stamp and suggest conducting an X-ray spectral analysis of the alloy of the product.
The expert is not responsible for forgery of the expert opinion, substitution of the product and its components.
The expert is not personally interested in the evaluation result and is not bound to the customer by any obligations other than contractual ones.
If the expert recognizes an unintentionally made mistake in the submitted expert opinion, the expert bears financial responsibility in the amount of the cost of the services rendered or conducts additional research free of charge with the issuance of a new expert opinion on the same product.
The expert is not responsible for direct or indirect losses incurred as a result of illegal actions using the expert opinion.
