Pink Diamond Lucara Diamond

Lucara Diamond has extracted a unique pink diamond weighing 62.7 carats at its own Karowe mine in Botswana.
The company announced that the stone was given the name " Boitumelo "(Boitumelo), meaning" Joy " in the Setswana language. This diamond is the size of 26*17*16 mm has been described as a "high-quality fancy pink Type IIa gemstone" and is the largest pink rough diamond that has ever been mined in Botswana and one of the world's largest rough
pink diamonds on record.

The pink diamond was extracted from ore mined at the EM/PK (S) section of the southern wing of the deposit.
"With the extraction of Boitumelo, Lucara Diamond is pleased to announce the discovery of another historic diamond and is very pleased to demonstrate the continuing potential for the production of large colored diamonds in the southern section of the deposit," said Eira Thomas, executive Director of the company. "These remarkable pink diamonds will join the collection
of significant diamond finds in 2021 produced at EM/PK (S), which is a key economic factor for the Karove mine."

Lucara Diamond also reported that during the same production period, a pink diamond weighing 22.21 carats with a similar
